At the moment, we are working on our history. Just a couple of months ago, we lost one of our most important persons in our club, Pat Archibald, Our secretary and historian. So, I will try to give you an idea of what our club is about.
The club was incorporated in 1987. We have been an incorporated club for 22 years. Our main purpose is to have fun restoring, preserving and showing the younger generation what our ancestors had to work with in building our great country.
The club first met quarterly at the Waldo Flea Market. At present, they meet twice a year at the fairgrounds on North HWY 301 in Starke Fl. The two shows are on the second weekend of the month in March and December. We are a small club with a big heart for friends.
We have the Hit and Miss Cafe', which serves breakfast and lunch on Friday and Saturday. They have a variety of food and drinks.
We invite each of our exhibitors and vendors to join us on Friday and Saturday evening for dinner. Our Friday supper tickets are sold as a fundraiser and Saturday is our potluck in which the club furnishes the meat and drinks. Everyone pitches in with his or her favorite side dish or dessert. After dinner each evening, you can usually find a group to join to play dominoes, cards or to just visit and get to know.
